Give Me Back

                                          Give Me Back

When your kids' competition is round the corner, its usually the mother who is on heels all the time. Searching for a quirky topic, lambasting your lil one every now & then, pressurising him/her to give the best ( as if he/she is in Nobel Laureate race), not scrimping him/her even for a minute & what not.

Sometimes it seems to me that we all are competing in 'Survival of the Fittest' contest & our innocent kids are becoming a TARGET all the time.

Anyhow, it was an English Rhyme Competition & it's in my nature of things, not to take Google Auntie's help everytime. But no suitable idea was strucking & only three days were left for the competition.

My son was all relaxed as he had firm faith in quote: "When mom is here, there's no need to fear." Meanwhile I was pondering over an idea & my son was busy in using this present day monster device @ Mobile. At this age of my life, I am not afraid of witches, devils, Satans & wretches anymore. But I am truly frightened from these Mobile monster kind of gadgets which are to a larger extent responsible for present geeks "CHIDCHDAPAN".( The word suits better than any other English word).

I was looking fixedly at him & here a thought ignited my mind to give me a spark in the dark. I started comparing my childhood with the present age kids & here at this point came the continuous outpouring of feelings that are in the form of a questionaire asked by a Child from the PRESENT MAN.

The title of the Poem is - GIVE ME BACK
And here it goes:

I am a little child
Don't give me stress,
Keep me in the lap of nature
So that I feel bless.
Give me back the Childhood
That once you had,
Take away all these gadgets
They now make me sad.
Give me back the fresh air
That once you had,
Lack of water in my future
Makes me feel bad.
Give me back the Moral values
That once you had,
Take away this internet world
I will feel glad.
Give me back the Simple living
That once you had ,
Take away all these brands,
I don't need any launch pad.
Give me back the Feelings
That once you had,
Take away this rational world,
Into which I have been dragged.
I am a little child
Who prays to God,
Give me buttons to
Start, Rewind & Stop.
Give me buttons to
Start, Rewind & Stop.

With these words, I just wish & pray to Almighty God to give back all these things to these lil souls of this age so that they could feel & enjoy the thrill of bountiness in everything they say or do.

  1. Yes we did I saw many moms around me but I did not much bother about the chronic and useless competitions of nowadays. I stay calm and just focus on the moral of the competition and the interest of my kid . 🤗
